Typical clarity level results shown are between 7 to 15 mg/lit.
ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS
| • | The filter uses suctin vacuum. The pressure drop used by the filter is quite high compared to apaper band filter. This increases the cake thickness and hance the filtration clarity;. Working of the filter is quite economic and use of magnetc separator as pre-filter, is not necessary. |
| • | If necessary finer filter media can be used. |
| • | The filter is suitable for applications using higher viscosity fluids (up-to 20 Cst). |
| • | The filter is not effectively used for applications generating only fine dirt. |
CONDITIONS AND APPLICATIONS
| • | For use on steel gundrilling, it necessary that the magnetic separator is used as per - filter. |
| • | For applications using viscous oils, the filter is to suitably under-rated to give optimum performance. |
| • | Low dirt generating applications like honing on CI the filter can be used with magnetic separator. |
| • | For no-ferrous machining like aluminum, the filter is conveniently used. |
| • | The filter is not recommended to handle large size chips, as these can cut in the filter medium. A suitable pre-filtration / separation device, like a scraper conveyer is recommended prior to this filter. |
